The "God State" is a term I coined in 1998, during the impeachment of President Bill Clinton. Rod Serling of the Twilight Zone would call this a "Super State" (in the episode "The Obsolete Man"). In this episode, he says that the Super State, as all before it, has one iron rule: Logic is the enemy, and truth is a menance.

Liberalism is a BEAST! It has countless facets and manifestations. Liberalism is an emotion based ideology. It is moral relativism and raw dissension. Pop-culture pushes self-gratification to seduce the individual into being a slave to their whims. The modern world focuses on the visual, immediate and tangible: the superficial. It is about a pseudo-empowerment of the individual.

The holy and sacred institution of Big Government pushes social engineering, which is a tool to get the docile masses co-dependent on Big Government to feed the cycle. Government is amoral, raw and linear force; nothing more. Alienated, hopeless or docile people tend to stray away from church oriented, family oriented, or private sector solutions to today's social problems, and then drift toward the brute force of Big Government. Under force, there seems to be a pretense of finality and resolution, which is what alienated, hopeless or docile people need desperately in life. Force is also a "quick fix" solution to any problem, or at least the appearance of a solution.

On force/force of government:

Starship troopers: Force has resolved more situations that any other method in history; the ultimate authority from which all other authority is derived.

George Washington: Government is not reason; it is not eloquence. It is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master!

Ronald Reagan (1964, quoting Senator Clark from Pennsylvania that defined modern liberalism): "meeting the materialistic needs of the masses through the full force of centralized government"

Also, unfortunately, right winged solutions tend to be primarily "before the fact" or prevention, while liberal or socialist solutions tend to be primarily "after the fact", which ALWAYS comes across as more practical and realistic.

An example of "before the fact" VS "after the fact" is teen sex/pregnancy. Conservatives push abstinence while liberals push condoms. A two dimensional oversimplistic conservative plan is clearly flawed because giving an abstinence lecture to a teen girl that is already pregnant fixes nothing. The two dimensional oversimplistic liberal plan predestines all kids to have sex and comes across as systematicaly breeding a "Slut State" where no one can afford to take care of their children at a young age and needs a socialist Big Government plan of some sort...

This, in fact, is a prime example of how pop-culture and Big Government work hand in hand. Pop-culture creates the social problem, and Big Government has a supposed solution.

The problem is that Big Government usually has solutions that come with strings, do nothing to truly solve the root of the problem (treating the symptom), or even foster more of the problem. So, again, it becomes a cycle.
